The design for this concert hall was a gift to the town of L’Aquila by the famous Italian Architect, Renzo Piano. L’Aquila is in Abruzzo and suffered devastating damage during the 2009 earthquakes. He wanted to give the city a place to gather for culture and beauty.

Francesco and Tony played in the inaugural concert in 2012 with the Orchestra Mozart under the direction of Claudio Abbado.
